Thankfulness and Christmas Shopping
November 1st. I am having trouble with that. My life has been a bit chaotic over the last couple of years and I have already lived in 3 different states this year alone, so maybe that’s messing with my sense of time. If you are keeping up with the news at all or you have gone to a store lately, you know there are supply shortages. It’s predicted that holiday meals and Christmas shopping will be very difficult and things may be very hard if not impossible to find. Many people are struggling in this country right now, whether due to vaccine mandate layoffs, food shortages, Covid illnesses, family infighting, and so much more. I personally am in the long and frustrating situation of trying to find employment in my new state and feeling the difficulty of how to make new relationships in a new place. I decided that I am going to do a series of daily posts this month with something I am thankful for, and a small business or made in America shopping recommendation. I hope you will find something to encourage you or someone to support as you read along. Please share with your friends as well.
Today I am thankful for Trader Joe’s curry sauces and British period pieces. Warm curry and Judi Dench is a good combination on a cold day. What about you? Feel free to share in the comments what you are thankful for today.
Today’s shopping recommendation is Party in My Pants. They make reusable menstrual pads and are a “Made In USA” business. There are multiple companies that do reusable menstrual pads and you can research all of them if this is something you are interested in. I am a new customer of this particular company. There are a number of good reasons to go this route instead of disposables. For me personally, I like saving money by not buying disposables on a regular basis and I love supporting small American businesses. Check them out here. https://partypantspads.com/
